Offshore High Voltage Technician (Trainee)

About the Role

High Voltage technicians are responsible for the HV installation and commissioning of wind turbine projects, following safety guidelines, project requirements, and industry standards.

We are seeking technicians based in the UK, Germany, Denmark, or Taiwan. Deployment will be to projects worldwide (UK, EU, APAC) with shift patterns of 2:2, 3:3, or 4:4, requiring flexibility for travel and working away from home.

This role offers variety, learning, and development opportunities within a supportive team culture. Candidates will be developed into HV specialists for wind turbine installation and commissioning, with relevant offshore and wind industry experience preferred.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Work across project environments including pre-assembly, installation, and commissioning, involving HV cable pulling, electrical fitting, terminations, testing, and energization.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld, promoting a safety culture.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all activities.
  • Deliver high-quality work with attention to detail.
  • Once trained, mentor and share knowledge with colleagues and trainees.

What You Bring

  • Electrical skills with qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, C&G 2357, Electro technikermeister, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of electrical experience, preferably with medium-high voltage systems.
  • Strong focus on health and safety, able to work at heights, and work independently or in teams.
  • Excellent communication skills across diverse organizational levels and cultures.
  • 5+ years relevant electrical/offshore/wind industry experience preferred.
  • Desired but not mandatory: Offshore Medical, GWOs, HV-specific training (Switchgear, Transformers, Nexans, NKT).
