As part of the Grid Technologies Service leadership team for the Sub Region UK&IE, you will partner with the Head of UK & IE to lead key strategic and operational initiatives to grow the business. You ensure detailed financials while encouraging transparency regarding your Sub-Region's financial status, assessing operational business performance, and assisting your partners with business and operational improvements.
Responsible for a diverse team of finance and commercial professionals and experts regarding order management, supporting customer offers, risk and opportunity management, and ensuring adherence to compliance and internal controls. You are directly responsible for all Finance related aspects of the Sub-Region.
What You'll Make an Impact
- In your role as a trusted partner to the head of the Sub-Region and as a key member of the Sub-Region's leadership team you govern all financial and risk management aspects of the Sub-Region.
- Actively contributing to the definition of the strategy and playing a vital role in achieving the strategic and business objectives.
- Being responsible for the integrity of books and records, for an effective Risk Management and Internal Control System as well as for Financial Planning and Controlling of all relevant business and support processes.
- Acting as the investors' advocate by protecting assets and driving sustainable Value Creation.
- Leading, reviewing, managing and escalating Finance matters as appropriate e.g., legal topics and compliance with financial guidelines, financial risk management, foreign exchange and liquidity as well as other critical topics.
- Managing complex offers and tenders, interfaces to sales, customers, financing organizations, contract, claim and receivables management, risk management for external partners and logistics.
- Driving transformation and continuous optimization in your organization including process standardization and digitalization to optimize efficiency and costs.
What You Bring
- CIMA/ACCA qualified, accounting, finance degree or an equivalent degree.
- Operational experience (5+ years) in leading a Finance function for an international organization as well as in service, product and/or project business.
- Strong knowledge in financial controlling, management accounting (IFRS) and Siemens Energy FRGs, reporting systems/environment as well as in ERP and Finance systems.
- Proactive, dynamic, crucial & results oriented as well as collaborative and a great teammate with networking, communication and negotiation skills and with a strong commitment to change management.
- Proven track record in delivering business results; thinking and acting for Siemens Energy as a whole and aiming to optimize outcomes and solutions with the customer in mind.
- Experienced people manager: you are passionate about people development and fostering an inclusive and diverse culture.
