We have an exciting new opportunity which represents a new growth period within Siemens Energy Grid Technologies Order Execution organisation and offers an excellent opportunity to join our Finance team based in Newcastle, Manchester or Dublin working on transmission projects/products. If you enjoy problem solving, thinking outside the box, and working with a high energy team and can react quickly to changes, then Siemens Energy would be a great fit for you!
During your 12‑month internship, you will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of the finance function as well as other key areas of the business such as customer management, digitalisation, and internal control. Across your internship you will acquire practical, real‑world experience within a finance team with a diverse range of responsibilities.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Play a vital role on a monthly basis for risk and internal control testing to ensure our financial activities are accurate.
- Support accurate and timely month end close.
- Work closely with colleagues to help with forecasting and improve reporting quality.
- Drive process automation and simplification through various different software.
- Produce insights that influence business decisions.
- Build strong and professional relationships across the organisation, managing these relationships effectively.
What You Bring
- Currently studying Finance/Business/Accounting or similar degree.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Interest in automation (PowerBI, PowerQuery, Excel).
- A flexible and curious mindset to manage a variety of tasks with a wide range of complexities.
- Effective problem solving and openness to new ideas.
- A team player who can exhibit professionalism and maturity within a dynamic workplace.

Our team is an integral part of the Grid Technologies European Order Execution Unit, tasked with the representation and distribution of Siemens Energy Products throughout the UK and Ireland. We are strategically positioned in Newcastle to effectively manage and support our operations across these markets, as well as teams in Manchester and Dublin.
