You will manage bids through the entire tender lifecycle, from Bid/No Bid decisions to securing high-quality orders for our Substations projects across the UK.

  • How You’ll Make An Impact
  • You will manage assigned bids, ensuring compliance with internal approvals and governance processes to secure high-quality orders.
  • Collaborate with the Proposals Manager and Sales team to formulate winning bid strategies that align with customer needs and Siemens Energy’s objectives.
  • Review and analyze invitations to tender and contract documentation to identify project drivers, scope boundaries, and key risks.
  • Lead the Capture Team to ensure all deliverables are produced on time and in accordance with the tender program, maintaining visibility of bid progress and key assumptions.
  • Engage with customers during pre-tender meetings and presentations, ensuring clarity and understanding of project scope and requirements.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience managing the complete bidding process for multi-million-pound high-voltage substation or complex infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to make independent decisions and recommendations to management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a positive “can do” attitude.
  • Background in transmission and distribution projects, particularly high-voltage substations, with awareness of customer drivers in the UK electricity market.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, building strong internal relationships to develop competitive substation proposals.
