Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Fitter, where you will engage in technically demanding work for our Turbine Assembly department. Imagine executing complex tasks during the assembly, overhaul, repair, and modification of turbine and generator equipment. You will diagnose and resolve intricate technical problems, ensuring that all work adheres to established procedures and safety standards. Your day will involve specialized turbine blading, assembly, and repair tasks, while meticulously documenting all activities. This role offers you the opportunity to work collaboratively, enhancing your professional growth.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will perform mechanical fitting and assembly activities using hand and machine tools, working to fine tolerances.
- Check finished work in accordance with required standards using relevant measuring equipment.
- Perform mechanical assembly on a range of turbine generator auxiliary components such as valve assemblies, flywheels, and generators.
What You Bring
- Time served mechanical fitting to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience focused on turbines.
- Your demonstrable experience in turbine assembly is highly advantageous.
- You have advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken, enabling effective communication in multicultural teams.
