Materials Engineer & Process Expert (f/m/d) for Additive Manufacturing Join us to apply for the Materials Engineer & Process Expert (f/m/d) for Additive Manufacturing role at Siemens Energy . As an expert in Additive Manufacturing, with proven expertise in Laser and Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion, you will develop high-quality processes for high-performance materials on new AM equipment. You will be part of a distributed team of highly skilled experts, supporting the adoption of additively manufactured components in turbomachinery, energy transformation, and other industries. Responsibilities: Enhance PBF processes and materials to broaden application possibilities. Define, plan, lead, and implement PBF projects in strategic technology partnerships. Serve as the PBF process and material expert, collaborating with operations, quality, design, and business development teams. Prioritize customer needs with a results-focused approach. Qualifications: University degree in materials or mechanical engineering. Proven expertise in PBF-LB/M and PBF-EB/M process development and optimization. Understanding of defect mechanisms in PBF and mitigation techniques. Knowledge of Ni-based, Co-based alloys, steels, and low-density alloys like Al- and Ti- alloys. Autonomous work ethic, critical thinking, project management skills, and experience in R&D projects with industry and academia. Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
