Join our Manchester team as a Project Manager and play a pivotal role in transforming the renewable energy landscape!

Imagine leading large electricity transmission infrastructure projects that connect clean energy sources, such as Offshore Wind farms, to national grids both in the UK and internationally.

Within Grid Technology we have the Grid Access (GA) and High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) businesses, via which we connect clean and renewable energy – mainly Offshore Wind farms and Interconnectors, to the National Grids of the UK and overseas.

You will take charge of executing projects within defined requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering exceptional results that drive customer satisfaction.

We are looking for professionals mainly within the Manchester area but also considering other locations as the projects are scattered across the UK

  • How You’ll Make An Impact
  • You will manage the delivery of Offshore AC and DC grid access connections, ensuring timely execution and adherence to safety, cost, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate design, construction, installation, and commissioning of project scopes.
  • Lead risk and opportunity reviews, driving proactive decision-making to enhance project performance and profitability.
  • Provide professional stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
  • Prepare and present Monthly Progress Reports, showcasing project status and achievements to internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing category ‘C’ construction projects within the Transmission & Distribution Industry.
  • PM Accreditation and a degree in a related discipline, demonstrating your commitment to project management excellence.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery, managing teams of up to ten staff members.
  • Extensive knowledge of HV Substations and practical application of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental performance.
