A Snapshot of Your Day
In your day‑to‑day responsibilities, you will be responsible for Business Controlling activities within GT SO HV, supporting the HV Grids business, and working on major transmission infrastructure projects in the UK and Ireland. Your daily work will include extensive collaboration with colleagues across all functions, providing key support on Finance and Controlling matters.
How You'll Make a Difference
- Manage the set‑up of all new joiners and the closing down of leavers in our Time‑Sheet recording system
- Pro‑actively manage and review all Timesheet entries, ensuring accuracy and timely input
- Act as the key interface between Siemens Energy and our external resource providers, actively solving Finance related queries
- Support with Month‑End tasks including cost journals, accruals, provisions etc
- Management Reporting on financial KPI’s including Staff Productivity, Actuals vs Forecast & Budget
- Process improvements within area of responsibility
- Managing and continually improving productivity
- Potential development opportunities for a suitable candidate to get involved with activities across the whole Business Controlling Team, cost centre controlling, forecasting, budgeting etc.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field or relevant working experience (3-5 years experience)
- Experience of company accounting and controlling system including cost elements, chart of accounts, closing procedures
- Working SAP experience would be an advantage
- Experience of working collaboratively across multi-discipline teams and functions
- Awareness of a compliance and internal controls framework
