In our HVDC Protection Team, we test and verify the hardware and software for our innovative HVDC Projects in our Test Center and ensure proper functionality and good quality of our HVDC Plants worldwide during commissioning. Our diverse and multinational teams work closely together with project management, engineering and end customers to provide customized solutions based on the latest innovations in HVDC technology.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Actively advance the Energy Transition by bringing our HVDC projects to a successful completion with our customers.
- As part of a project team in Integration Testing, carry out Functional Tests of the Control & Protection hardware and software in one of our test centers.
- Independently trace bugs and support our Software Engineering in debugging.
- Execute and document Functional Performance Tests (FPT) and Dynamic Performance Tests (DPT) of the HVDC System, including Customer Acceptance Tests in one of our test centers.
- Commission the Measuring System, the DC Protection System and the Transient Fault Recorder for our HVDC Projects as part of a highly motivated team at our customers’ sites worldwide.
- Support our Commissioning Management in Quality, Risk and Claim Management and actively participate in our improvement programs.
What You Bring
- Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable education/qualification.
- Good knowledge in project planning and testing via MATLAB/SIMULINK, Siemens SIMATIC TDC/S7, CFC, grid protection systems.
- Knowledge or ideally working experience in the field of Electrical Engineering and Commissioning of Electrical Power Stations or HVDC Systems.
- Knowledge in Current- and Voltage Measuring devices and other primary equipment.
- Fluent English language skills; further language skills are very welcome.
- Willingness for worldwide business trips and mainly long‑term assignments on construction sites in Germany and abroad, as well as optional assignments on offshore platforms.
- Team player, communicative, proactive, positive handling of conflicts, decision‑making capability.
