Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for manufacturing quality issues, working collaboratively with production and engineering teams.
Monitor process capability and support quality assurance activities including first article inspections, key feature measurements, supplier surveillance, and final inspections.
Operate and maintain inspection and test equipment to validate component integrity and performance.
Maintain accurate inspection records and quality data to support reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
Support Lean Manufacturing and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational quality, efficiency, and consistency.
Provide guidance and support to operators and lower-level employees on inspection techniques, quality standards, and best practices.
Minimum of a time-served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification Experience working within a precision manufacturing or engineering environment with a strong focus on quality inspection and quality control.
Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Proficiency using a range of manual and digital precision measuring equipment including calipers and micrometers.
Knowledge of quality management systems, inspection processes, and manufacturing quality standards.
Experience supporting root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities within manufacturing operations Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across manufacturing and engineering teams.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process FMEA, SAP, or statistical process control would be advantageous.
