A Snapshot of Your Day As a CAD Support Engineer, you will provide support to users of Siemens NX and its integration with Teamcenter. Your responsibilities will include investigating technical issues, maintaining supporting information, and assisting with the testing and deployment of CAD system updates. You will collaborate with engineering users and experienced solution specialists to understand how CAD tools and design data support engineering, manufacturing, quality, and service activities. Additionally, you will contribute to PLM360 readiness activities, helping the business adopt consistent CAD processes, part-centric working practices, and improved digital ways of working. This role offers an opportunity to build technical and business knowledge while gaining experience across CAD, PLM, Model-Based Definition, and the wider engineering digital thread. How You’ll Make an Impact Provide first-line support for Siemens NX users, responding to CAD-related questions and escalating complex issues and a ssist with investigating and resolving CAD system, configuration, and user-access issues. Support the testing and implementation of NX upgrades, maintenance releases, and system improvements and h elp prepare test scenarios, record test results, and report any identified problems. Work with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and project teams to understand user requirements and operational challenges. Support the development and maintenance of consistent CAD modeling practices and templates. Contribute to the controlled alignment of CAD design structures with Teamcenter product structures. Support the maintenance and administration of the Standard Parts Library. Assist with Model-Based Definition and Product Manufacturing Information activities, improving the use of 3D engineering information across downstream processes. Support CAD and PLM360 readiness activities, including testing, data reviews, process documentation, and user adoption. Monitor recurring user issues and help identify opportunities to improve system performance and user experience. What You Bring A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design, Computer-Aided Engineering, or a related discipline. Academic or practical exposure to 3D CAD software through university modules, internships, or personal projects. An interest in developing skills in CAD & PLM tools - Siemens NX, Teamcenter. A basic understanding of engineering drawings, 3D models, and product design processes with Good analytical and structured problem-solving skills. Confidence in investigating issues, documenting findings, and seeking support when required. Awareness of Model-Based Definition, PMI, CAE tools, engineering data management, or digital thread concepts would be beneficial but is not essential.
