Siemens Energy – Gas Services – Distributed – Global Service Operations – Small Gas Turbines (SGT)

Location: Lincoln (flexible for other UK locations with frequent travel to the office)

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Sales Manager to join our Global Service Operations (GSO) team within Siemens Energy Gas Services. This role supports business continuity and ongoing sales activity for the SGT aftermarket portfolio across the Europe & Africa region. As a Sales Manager, you will focus on managing customer opportunities, supporting key accounts, and driving order intake through effective sales execution. You will work closely with experienced sales colleagues, regional teams, and technical experts to translate customer needs into competitive service solutions. This role is well suited to someone who is developing their career in technical or industrial sales and is keen to grow within a global organization.

Sales Execution & Account Support (Primary Focus)

  • Support sales activities for assigned customers and regions within the SGT service portfolio
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and regional stakeholders to support repeat business and pipeline growth
  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities with guidance from senior sales colleagues
  • Help position Siemens Energy service offerings by clearly communicating value and benefits

Proposal & Opportunity Management

  • Support the preparation of sales quotations, proposals, and customer presentations
  • Coordinate inputs from technical, commercial, and regional teams to ensure timely and accurate offers
  • Participate in customer meetings, including technical and commercial discussions, with increasing responsibility over time
  • Support negotiations on pricing and contractual topics under guidance

Sales Operations & Forecasting

  • Maintain accurate opportunity and account data in Salesforce CRM
  • Support sales forecasting and pipeline reviews by providing up-to-date information
  • Track customer interactions and follow up on actions to support opportunity progression
  • Assist with order entry and handover to execution teams

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in a customer-facing or sales support role, preferably within an industrial or technical environment
  • Interest in the energy, power generation, or industrial equipment sector
  • Exposure to CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales processes
  • Willingness to learn technical aspects of the SGT aftermarket portfolio
