How You’ll Make an Impact:

As a Lead Consultant, you will develop and shape our grid consulting business. You will provide strategic advice on the application of latest technologies and guide customers through their market entry transitions.

You will support opportunity development and bidding processes, including evaluating opportunities, shaping consulting scopes & services, proposal development, and negotiations.

  1. Guidance on New Technologies and Markets:
  2. Forge partnerships with governmental & regulatory bodies, associations, industry leaders, and stakeholders to position Siemens Energy as a trusted grid consulting partner.
  3. Participate in conferences and meetings to stay updated on technology and market trends, providing insights to the organization.
  4. Advise customers on benefits and risks of adopting new technologies and entering new markets.
  5. Develop strategies to navigate challenges and leverage opportunities in new markets.

Development of study scopes & concepts:

  1. Assist customers in defining study scopes aligned with their objectives and regulatory requirements.
  2. Provide expert advice on industry best practices and emerging trends.
  3. Ensure study scopes are technically sound and economically feasible.

Guide the Opportunity & Offer Development Process:

  1. Analyze customer RfI / RfP documents and drive bid decisions with business development and sales teams.
  2. Advise on pricing strategies, risk evaluation, and value propositions.
  3. Negotiate deal terms and execute contracts to meet strategic objectives.
  4. Manage regional business development with reliable financial forecasting & planning.

What You Bring:

  • Master’s degree in electrical power engineering or higher.
  • 8+ years of relevant consulting experience in the energy sector with a successful project portfolio.
  • Expertise in transmission planning, operational studies, power system performance analyses, and protection systems.
  • Understanding of TSO processes, grid planning, and communication with utilities and developers.
  • Skills in Power Electronic applications, power transmission, Grid code compliance, and renewable generation (Wind, Solar).
  • Knowledge of electrical balance-of-plant and industrial power supply concepts is a plus.
  • Analytical, strategic mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
  • Legal authorization to work in the UK without sponsorship; internal transfers possible for current Siemens Energy employees.
