As an IT Infrastructure Technician, you’ll dive into a variety of tasks that ensure the integrity, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring server performance and troubleshooting network issues, ensuring everything is operating at peak efficiency. You’ll take pride in managing user accounts, granting access where needed while maintaining strict security protocols.

Throughout the day, you’ll collaborate with your team to support our ISO27001 compliance efforts, tackling challenges in access control and asset management. You’ll also play a vital role in business continuity planning, ensuring that our systems are resilient and secure.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Manage user access rights, including onboarding, offboarding, and role changes.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management, including equipment onboarding, software licenses, and obsolescence.
  • Provide audit support by collating evidence for internal and external audits.
  • Conduct business continuity planning through backup testing and incident response simulations.
  • Monitor system and network security, including threat intelligence, software updates, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) measures.
  • Administer Active Directory and respond to technical support requests from lab staff.

What You Bring

  • Relevant IT certification(s) (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in technical support or IT administration roles.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server 2022, Active Directory, and familiarity with Hyper-V or similar virtualization platforms.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic firewall configuration.
  • Excellent documentation skills for creating and maintaining technical procedures, particularly for ISO27001 compliance.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with effective communication and teamwork abilities.
