We are excited to offer an exceptional 1-year internship opportunity designed specifically for students who are looking for a placement position whilst studying at University. At Siemens Gamesa (SGRE), we are looking for a motivated intern to join our team, where you will have the chance to apply your academic knowledge, develop new skills, and contribute to impactful projects. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Providing friendly 1st and some 2nd line support for employees at all levels on various IT issues, escalating problems to the appropriate team or provider as needed.
- Preparing and issuing IT equipment such as laptops and phones for new and existing staff.
- Support mobile phone issues, primarily iOS, manage user accounts (including password resets, unlocking, and licensing).
- Act as "Smart Hands" for hardware support of externally managed services and handle the ordering, issuing, and activation of company ID and access cards.
- Provide Office 365 support and troubleshooting, maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records, and assist with both local and SGRE strategic IT project promotion and implementation.
What you Bring
- You must be studying towards a degree in IT or something relatable.
- A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
- Able to communicate within a team and across all levels, including Management, Suppliers and External Service Providers.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to set priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Able to work methodically and independently where applicable.
- Numerate and proficient in the use of Windows 10 operating system.
- Willing to learn technical concepts to support new systems and software.
