This role will be site based at our manufacturing facility in Hull. The Energy transition is the greatest challenge our generation faces. In the UK & Ireland, we are at the heart of the energy transition and our Human Resources function contributes to the success of our business.

A typical day will involve working with lots of different stakeholders, this could be our HR Business Partners, our specialist HR teams, line managers and employees. You might be supporting a HR Business Partner on business specific projects or change initiatives, ensuring the effective management of a variety of complex cases including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and capability, or taking a leading role in reviewing our policies to ensure they are not only aligned with legislation, but also meet the needs of our current and future business priorities. You will also play an active role in employee relations topics including engagement with our union and employee representative groups.

You’ll be part of a fantastic team and each day will be different, with multiple interactions working with lots of different people.

About the Siemens Gamesa Hull Blade Factory: The Siemens Gamesa Hull Blade Factory is the UK's largest offshore wind turbine blade manufacturing facility. Employing over 1,400 people, the factory operates 24/7 across four shifts, 51 weeks per year, and has produced over 3000 blades, powering over 8.5 million homes across the UK, Europe, and beyond. Strategically positioned within 12 hours' sailing time from some of the world's largest offshore wind farms. The factory drives global sustainability while fostering strong local community ties, actively investing in skills, employment, partnerships with local educational institutions, and regional development initiatives.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

  • Support the HR Business Partner to drive our HR priorities.
  • Expert advice and guidance on UK employment law and good practice.
  • Pro-actively engaging with and supporting our line managers with their proficiency in people topics, and providing advice & guidance on case management, improvement projects, employment topics.
  • Work with our employee representatives and unions supporting pay negotiations with our business leaders.
  • Ensure operational excellence and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Reporting and data analysis.

What You Bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar HR role.
  • Excellent knowledge in employment law (UK essential and Irish desirable) and understanding of employee relations topics and procedures.
  • A teammate, with experience in guiding and coaching line managers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication styles for the appropriate audience.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience in management projects is beneficial.
  • The ability to travel when required to attend meetings and support projects at any of our sites across the UK & Ireland.
  • A post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or degree in HR management is desired.
