A Snapshot of Your Day

Are you ready to step into the dynamic world of Power Transmission with Siemens Energy? We’re looking for passionate individuals to join us as Project Leads within Grid Technologies. The Grid Project Lead Program is a 12-month development journey beginning July 1st, 2026, featuring rotations, classroom and virtual learning, and hands-on training designed to build the technical skills needed in HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) and core Siemens Energy processes. If you bring diverse experience and a talent for building strong connections, this is your opportunity to grow in a thriving, innovation-driven market. The program offers a chance to develop both technically and professionally while contributing to the future of grid transformation.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Support customers in transitioning to a more sustainable world by contributing to solutions that address real global challenges and create meaningful impact.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams across different implementation phases of HVDC solution projects, gaining detailed insights into all aspects of project management.
  • Help project teams achieve their goals related to timely delivery, high quality, and strong customer satisfaction.

What You Bring

  • A university degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering sciences or related fields.
  • Management experience, with strong skills in customer interaction and relationship management.
  • Early practical work experience, ideally within the instrumentation and control field.
  • Strong leadership abilities to guide intercultural teams across various locations, along with effective presentation skills and a willingness to embrace new challenges, countries, and cultures.
  • A passion for project work, paired with the ability to build positive relationships and earn trust.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, with the flexibility and mobility required to work in a multicultural environment throughout the program.

What You Can Expect

Over the 12-month rotational program, participants gain hands-on experience, become fully integrated into day-to-day team activities, and develop a deep understanding of Siemens Energy Grid Technology. The program enables rapid knowledge building, solution exploration, and direct exposure to the business. From the first day, participants take on individually tailored assignments, including the possibility of an international rotation. Each participant is paired with a dedicated mentor who provides guidance throughout immersive experiences, including opportunities to shadow various roles. This support structure is designed to help participants achieve their career goals while building strong connections with peers and business leaders, supported by extensive resources for professional growth.

As a Project Manager in HVDC, participants contribute directly to Siemens Energy’s decarbonization mission by helping ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. They become part of the broader Project Management team, supporting the implementation of complex international HVDC solution projects. Their work spans all stages—from customer inquiries and planning, to design engineering, supply chain activities, testing in the lab, and final handover of EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) projects.
