You will act as a key point of contact for environmental issues, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS).

Your role will be pivotal in fostering strong relationships across the business, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving initiatives that exceed global environmental commitments.

  • How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Support the Head of Environment in enhancing the environmental and energy management system to achieve Environmental Objectives and Targets.
  • Advise Project Delivery and Site Management teams on compliance with the Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and relevant legislation.
  • Attend project and site meetings, providing insights on environmental issues and ensuring effective implementation of environmental actions.
  • Manage applications for secondary environmental consents/permits and ensure compliance with permit conditions through the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP).
  • Conduct environmental audits and inspections to monitor compliance, prevent pollution, and promote resource efficiency.

What You Bring

  • A degree in a relevant discipline and practitioner membership of ISEP (or equivalent).
  • Over 5 years of experience in an operational role within the construction or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation and experience working with regulatory bodies such as SEPA.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Power Point, and a valid driving license.
