Overview
Field Service Mechanical Supervisor – Generator at Siemens Energy. Lead a dynamic Field Service team, maintaining and optimizing generator performance for UK and global customers. On-site you’ll guide technicians and contractors, ensuring generators are disassembled, inspected, and reassembled with precision. Collaborate with clients, site management, and internal teams to deliver safe, efficient, and timely projects while managing priorities and solving challenges to drive quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee craft technicians and subcontractors during planned preventive maintenance on hydrogen and air-cooled generators at customer sites in the UK and overseas.
- Partner with site management to plan and execute work packages, ensuring activities meet safety, quality, and project deadlines.
- Provide expert technical advice to customers on generator disassembly and reassembly, resolving technical issues swiftly and effectively.
- Represent Siemens Energy in meetings with clients and stakeholders, fostering strong professional relationships.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and execution processes.
What You Bring
- HNC/HND in Engineering or a recognised apprenticeship.
- Around 5 years of technical field experience, including team supervision.
- In-depth familiarity with hydrogen and air-cooled generators.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills with a collaborative and flexible approach.
- Ability to work confidently both independently and in a team, with good computer literacy.
