Data Scientist – Applied AI Solutions

Leverage statistical, machine learning, and LLM techniques to enhance digital finance operations through automation. Collaborate closely with product managers, data engineers, and finance experts to prototype, build, and test scalable AI solutions. Scope impactful use cases, prepare data, develop models, and operationalize them in production, ensuring they are explainable, compliant, and continuously improved.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end data science lifecycle for finance use cases such as forecasting and anomaly detection.
  • Collaborate with product managers and finance stakeholders to define KPIs and translate business problems into testable hypotheses.
  • Develop and iterate models using supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP/LLMs, balancing accuracy, speed, and interpretability.
  • Design and conduct experiments (A/B tests, backtesting) and clearly communicate results, trade‑offs, and business implications.
  • Work with data and ML engineers to productionise models and data pipelines, ensuring reliability and scalability.

What You Bring

  • University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning; experience with LLMs is a plus.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL, with the ability to write production‑quality code and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience building high‑impact models from prototype to production in cloud environments (preferably AWS).
  • Ability to convey complex technical topics to non‑technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
