Siemens Energy is seeking a passionate Commercial Project Manager to join our team. In this crucial role, you\’ll play a key part ensuring the commercial success of our Erection and Commissioning projects. Newcastle or Manchester based.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage and drive financial reporting for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and uphold cost control measures to keep projects within budget.
- Responsible for project financials and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, commercial managers, and project managers to ensure financial alignment.
- Conduct monthly site reviews to assess cost-to-complete, identify lessons learned, and share insights with relevant departments for continuous improvement.
- Compile and analyse project variation reports, identifying underlying trends to proactively manage project budgets.
- Analyse forecast accuracy and track cost variations, providing clear reports on cost-to-complete and ensuring project budgets stay on track.
- Raise and review purchase orders, including monthly review of spend against POs, reporting spend against budget, and purchase vs hire reporting.
- Work with operations and influence process improvements for mutual benefit.
- Understand and manage project subcontract package from commercial perspective, including cost control, budget monitoring, and schedule adherence.
What You Bring
- QS/CIMA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience) with a strong understanding of commercial and financial control processes.
- Proven experience in commercial project management, ideally within the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of commercial management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively.
- Possess advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP systems.
- Ability to forge strong relationships with stakeholders across departments and effectively manage their requirements.
- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- A highly motivated and results-oriented individual.
- A strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
