We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC machine tools to produce precision-engineered components. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you will ensure all parts meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Set up and operate CNC machinery, following established procedures and engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and specifications to determine required machining operations.
- Measure and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet design and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure safe, efficient operation.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to solve machining issues and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production data, including measurements, quantities, and any non-conformances.
- Keep your work area clean, safe, and organised in line with company health and safety procedures.
What You Bring
- Ideally, you'll have completed a full Level 3 apprenticeship (including both NVQ and Technical Certificate); however, equivalent qualifications or substantial relevant experience may also be considered.
- Confirmed experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to expertly use machine tools such as lathes, horizontal borers, and grinders.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining specifications.
- High attention to detail with strong measurement and inspection skills.
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
- Competent IT skills for logging and reporting production data.
- A proactive and safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
