As a Stores Person, you will play an important part in keeping our manufacturing operations supplied and running efficiently. You will manage the movement of materials and components through the Stores area, from receiving and checking incoming goods through to picking, packing and preparing products for dispatch. You will maintain accurate stock records and locations, work with warehouse systems and ensure materials are available when required. This is a practical, hands‑on role where attention to detail, safety and accuracy are essential.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Receive incoming goods, check quantities and documentation, identify discrepancies and ensure materials are stored safely in the correct locations.
  • Pick stock against Bills of Materials (BOMs), accurately record materials issued and ensure stock movements and allocations are correctly maintained.
  • Pack products for dispatch to customers and subcontractors, raise dispatch documentation and organise courier collections.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse records, updating company systems as required and supporting regular stock takes and inventory checks.
  • Safely operate appropriate materials-handling equipment and support the movement of goods throughout the Stores area, following manual-handling and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality and organisation while supporting continuous improvement across Stores and warehouse operations.

    Previous experience working within a Stores, warehouse, logistics or materials-handling environment.

  • A valid forklift licence, with a good understanding of safe manual-handling practices and the ability to safely handle items weighing up to 25kg.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate stock, inventory or materials records.
  • Comfortable using computer-based warehouse or inventory systems.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different areas of the organisation.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision following training while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
