- Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and talent development for product engineers, technical writers, and documentation specialists while managing department budgets, resource allocation, workforce planning, and organizational capability growth.
- Develop and execute engineering strategy through strategic planning, product lifecycle management (PLM), stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration with Operational Planning, Parts, Quality, Product Lifecycle, and other key partners to support end-to-end business operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
To ensure business continuity and support strategic organizational alignment with the Helix framework, Siemens Energy is establishing the role of Head of Product Engineering and Documentation within the Aeroderivative Gas Turbines Core Development unit in the United Kingdom.
To address these business aims, this role focuses on leading product engineering lifecycles, managing comprehensive technical documentation, and optimizing cross-functional collaboration across the AGT portfolio.
Given the focus on engineering excellence and robust documentation standards, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in gas turbine engineering, proven senior leadership capabilities, and extensive experience driving complex technical projects in a global matrix organization., Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles within the power generation or aerospace sectors
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional registration, Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification a plus.
- Proven experience in technical documentation management and product lifecycle systems.
