Are you keen to start a successful career in a practical and forward-thinking learning environment? If so, we think our Apprenticeship scheme could be a great fit. You will gain qualifications while earning a salary, so it is a fantastic alternative to college or University! Develop your skills by working on real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey. This will be a 4-year apprenticeship where you will be put onto the Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Year 1 - You will spend time learning about the qualification and developing both your practical and academic skills.
- Years 2 to 4 - Will be on a release basis in conjunction with our learning partner (College or Independent Supplier) as required where you will study towards the appropriate Level 3 Engineering Fitter qualification.
- Whilst at work, there will be opportunity to rotate through areas of some of the departments of the business, to gain all the specific skills and knowledge that you and our business need.
- Contribute to the development, building and testing of Subsea Connectors and associated products.
- Have the chance to learn and work within and with different departments and develop skills in manufacturing, applications and development and production engineering.
- Develop your planning, delivery, and quality skills by working alongside skilled professionals.

- A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (English, Maths, Science + 1 other). If you do not yet have your GCSE results, please enter predicted grades on the application form.
- You think logically, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving.
- You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions.
- You can work independently, safely, and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change.

Siemens Energy Subsea is an award-winning facility based in Ulverston and is responsible for developing, designing, and manufacturing Subsea Connectors for the global oil & gas industry. The factory continues to hold and maintain an ambitious digital transformation program to help increase competitiveness and productivity to deliver more innovative products and services to our customers.
