Program Overview

Develop your skills by working on real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey. This will be a 4-year apprenticeship where you will be put onto the Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard.

What the Program Looks Like

  • Year 1 – spend time learning about the qualification and developing practical and academic skills.
  • Years 2‑4 – study towards the Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering while on release. The rotational element takes you through the engineering departments of the business to gain specific skills and knowledge that you and the business need.

How you'll make an impact

  • Product design, development, building and testing of subsea connectors and associated products.
  • Work in a variety of departments and develop skills in manufacturing, applications, development and production engineering.
  • Develop planning, delivery and quality skills by working alongside skilled professionals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (English, Maths, Science and one other). If you do not yet have your GCSE results, enter predicted grades on the application form.
  • Logical thinking, willingness to self‑learn and research, creative approach to problem solving.
  • Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions.
  • Can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and want to develop ability to drive and lead change.
