Responsibilities
- Ensure ongoing health and safety oversight in alignment with the Start Safe initiative, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance appraisals to support team development and foster a collaborative culture.
- Develop and implement training and succession planning strategies to enhance team capabilities and future-proof our workforce.
- Drive enhancements in functional capabilities by exploring technology improvements and upgrading equipment to meet evolving needs.
- Manage and improve work pipeline planning processes, standardising approaches to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing machining and moulding capabilities to support Production and Product Development teams, promoting operational efficiencies and maintaining high-value equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a managerial role within an engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of subtractive manufacturing processes (CAD/CAM/CNC) and/or moulding processes (compression/injection/RTV/LSR).
- Ability to interpret detailed component part drawings and familiarity with GD&T.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of health & safety oversight and compliance with the Start Safe initiative.
