Responsibilities

  • Build and deepen your knowledge of Siemens Energy's steam turbine product line through hands-on technical work and research.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to plan outages, resolve technical queries, and support maintenance activities.
  • Take initiative to address customer issues, developing strong working relationships and delivering effective solutions.
  • Document technical investigations and findings clearly to support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute your ideas and approaches to help drive the energy transition and support our customers' evolving needs.

You'll join a supportive team of 12 based in Newcastle, dedicated to providing technical support for gas turbines, steam turbines, marine turbines, and new business fields. Our team values both fresh perspectives and seasoned expertise, working together to deliver reliable service and innovative solutions. We encourage learning, collaboration, and the sharing of knowledge, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to develop and contribute—whether you're an Engineer or stepping into a Task Leader role.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience – candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to apply them to real-world scenarios.
  • Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience with large rotating equipment (such as steam turbines or generators) is beneficial, but not required for entry-level roles.
  • High computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
