Siemens Energy is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic, detail conscious Site Commercial Team Lead to join our team. In this crucial role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the commercial success of our Erection and Commissioning projects. The role will be remote based (Scotland) with extensive travel to Siemens Energy UK sites and offices in Newcastle and Manchester as necessary (approximately 80% travel)., Hire, train and lead a team of Site Commercial Admins to do the day to day running of site-based record keeping (Control Sheet, Forward Load Charts, Site Register, Plant Hire Register, Progress Reporting and other site commercial supportive tasks) for and in accordance with the EC CPM and Site Manager requirements.

  • Lead and drive site commercial reporting and cost control measures for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and within budget, from pre-start on site until completion.

  • Daily support and supervision, ensuring Commercial Admin duties are performed effectively.

  • Discover training needs of the team and provide coaching.

  • Liaise with Commercial Manager / Site Manager / Site Supervisor, in producing the Progress Tool (ready for the 1st day of productive work on site) and ensure it is regularly updated and accurate to the works carried out.

  • Ensure the site-based records and filing structure is set up and maintained.

  • Ensure all Purchase Orders are raised as instructed by CPM. Responsible to review and control monthly spend against Pos and reporting spend against budget.

  • Visit the sites on a regular basis to oversee/support the team.

  • Responsible for managing and controlling costs incurred on site and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, commercial managers, and project managers to ensure commercial alignment.

  • Be part of the team to identify lessons learned and implement continuous improvement measures.

  • Support the management of project subcontract packages from a commercial perspective, including cost control, budget monitoring, and schedule adherence.

  • QS qualified (or equivalent experience) with a strong understanding of commercial and financial control processes.

  • Proven experience in site commercial management / commercial project management, ideally within the energy sector.

  • Strong understanding of commercial management.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively.

  • Possess advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP systems.
