Overview
Siemens Energy are seeking a passionate Senior Commercial Project Manager to join our Marine team within Gas Services UK & IE. You will be an integral part of the team working closely with the Head of Marine delivering high quality financial information and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders. In this crucial role, you\\\’ll play a key part in ensuring the commercial success of Marine projects that will help drive and shape the business.
What you will do
- Manage and drive financial reporting for Marine projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and uphold cost control measures to keep projects within budget.
- Responsible for project financials and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial alignment.
- Work with operations and influence process improvements for mutual benefit.
- Analyse forecast accuracy and track cost variations, providing clear reports on cost-to-complete and ensuring project budgets stay on track.
- Present information in a clear manner to non-financial individuals.
What you bring
- University Degree or equivalent experience in a Business or Finance Field, along with professional qualifications such as CIMA.
- Proven experience in Commercial Project Management, ideally in the Energy sector.
- Proficiency in communicating efficiently with partners across different fields and levels.
- Ability to forge strong relationships with stakeholders across departments and effectively manage their requirements.
- Excellent understanding of commercial and financial principles, including experience in compiling forecasts and tracking spend against budget.
- A strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Several years of experience in accounting or controlling functions.
