A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us as a Manager in Supplier Quality blades & vanes for our distributed gas-turbines, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our suppliers meet Siemens Energy\’s high standards for our small, medium- and aeroderivative gas-turbines. You will guide your teams in collaborating with suppliers and commodity managers, fostering a multi-cultural environment that enhances relationships and drives success.
Your day will first and foremost involve driving and motivating the teams of SQEs & SQAs to push the boundaries of excellence in the team\’s ability to resolve nonconformances, leading containment actions, and conducting Root Cause Analysis to implement effective preventative measures. By enhancing supplier performance, you will contribute significantly to the quality of our supply chain and the overall mission of energy transformation. You will have three managers reporting directly to you and your teams will primarily be located in GB, Canada, US and Sweden
How You\’ll Make an Impact
- Lead an organization with multi-functional teams of SQEs and SQAs to ensure compliance with Siemens Energy standards.
- Guide managers and teams in executing Product and Process Qualifications (PPQ), supporting suppliers in aligning with our Quality Management Process and tools.
- Oversee and enhance supplier quality performance by implementing corrective and preventive actions, driving quality improvement initiatives, and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Foster early engagement with suppliers during the product development phase, collaborating closely with other global supplier quality teams and internal stakeholders.
- Continuously track and report on supplier quality performance, coordinating component acceptability assessments, and effectively communicating risks for timely mitigation and improvement efforts.
What You Bring
- Background in managing international teams, your ability to lead other managers will be important to success.
- Proven experience in supplier qualification and auditing, with a focus on compliance with industry standards.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, implement corrective and preventive actions and enhance supplier quality performance.
- Excellent collaboration & communication skills.
- This position is in a French-speaking environment but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.
- Willingness to travel as required.
