Join us as a CAD Business Solution Owner (BSO) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Siemens Energy! In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind the successful implementation and optimization of our CAD systems, particularly Siemens NX, and its integration with Teamcenter. You will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and project teams to ensure seamless functionality and data alignment. As we advance our digital transformation, your expertise will be crucial in enhancing system performance and user experience, ultimately supporting our mission to deliver innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead NX upgrade projects, ensuring they align with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all CAD-related inquiries, providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop implementation strategies.
- Conduct system analysis and design to optimize CAD processes and work instructions.
- Champion the adoption of Model-Based Definition (MBD) practices, integrating PMI into the digital thread for seamless 3D data use across various engineering processes.
- Establish standards for aligning CAD design structures with Teamcenter product structures throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage the governance and operations of the Standard Parts Library.
- Develop training programs to enhance user proficiency and adoption of upgraded systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless operation.
- Stay updated with industry trends in CAD technology to drive innovation and best practices.
- Liaise with CAD experts from other Siemens Energy offices to ensure successful integration and support of CAD systems.
- Prepare and present reports on project progress, system performance, and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in CAD systems, particularly Siemens NX.
- Experience with PLM systems, ideally Teamcenter.
- Proven track record in managing CAD upgrades and implementations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and a passion for driving operational excellence.
- Familiarity with CAE Tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of Siemens Energy products and processes is advantageous.
