The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt will lead high-impact improvement initiatives across the organisation, driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

This role plays a key part in embedding a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing operational performance, and developing capability across teams through coaching and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Improvement Projects
  • Lead cross-functional Lean and Six Sigma (DMAIC) projects
  • Identify improvement opportunities and translate them into structured initiatives
  • Deliver measurable and sustainable business results
  • Apply data-driven problem-solving and root-cause analysis
  • Drive Lean Deployment
  • Support the deployment of Lean practices across operational areas
  • Facilitate workshops such as Value Stream Mapping and process improvement sessions
  • Improve flow, eliminate waste, and enhance process efficiency
  • Support daily management and visual-management practices
  • Deliver Business Impact
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Ensure initiatives are aligned with business priorities
  • Work closely with Finance and operational teams to validate benefits
  • Support Idea Implementation
  • Help translate employee ideas into implemented improvements
  • Support improvement campaigns and focused Kaizen activities
  • Increase the rate of idea-to-implementation conversion
  • Build Capability & Coach Others
  • Coach and support employees in problem-solving and continuous improvement tools
  • Deliver training sessions in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Mentor teams to sustain improvements and build ownership
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation
  • Influence and support leaders to adopt continuous improvement practices
  • Governance & Sustainability
  • Track and report project progress and outcomes
  • Ensure improvements are sustained through control plans and standardisation
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and structured project execution

Requirements

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience delivering improvement projects with measurable outcomes
  • Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working cross-functional
  • Technical Skills
  • Lean tools (Value Stream Mapping, standard work, visual management)
  • Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, root-cause analysis, statistical tools)
  • Data analysis (Excel, Minitab or similar)
