Overview
Lead and advise the GS EU&AF UK&IE leadership and management teams on all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS).
Develop, implement, and maintain effective EHS management systems aligned with regulatory, customer, and Siemens Energy requirements, including ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO50001.
Responsibilities
- Champion a Zero Harm culture by promoting best practices and continuous improvement across all EHS activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive EHS culture, covering occupational health and safety, process safety, environmental protection, energy management, and wellbeing.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and report operationally to the Head of GS EU&AF UK&IE, with functional accountability to the Head of GS EU&AF EQS.
- Engage regularly with external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, regulators, auditors, and other Siemens Energy business areas.
- Strong understanding of UK EHS legislation and industry standards (e.g. ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001), with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
- Skilled in building collaborative relationships across internal teams, external partners, regulators, and customers to drive EHS performance and governance.
- Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks, including emergency planning and contractor management.
- Ability to develop and use performance metrics, audits, and incident data to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
- Background in sectors such as energy, engineering, construction, or heavy industry, with relevant qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate and Diploma or equivalent).
