Job Description
As a Mechanical Test Fitter, you will be part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for maintaining test facilities and performing installation and performance testing of gas turbines. Working within a DSEAR-controlled environment, you will connect gas turbines to test rigs, fuel supplies, lubricating oil and pneumatic systems, inlet and exhaust ducting, output shafts, and instrumentation. You will then collaborate with the team to run performance tests to industry standards.

• Carry out mechanical fitting activities to exacting standards with detailed documentation.
• Ensure the highest level of health and safety, working in line with Zero Harm principles.
• Support production, development, and other departmental activities as required.
• Contribute to business improvements and maintain a high-quality working environment.
• Work shift patterns as required to meet program demands.
What You Bring
• Experience in a relevant mechanical industry, preferably with exposure to rotating equipment.
• A recognized full Level 3 apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or Technical Certificate in a relevant engineering field.
• Demonstrate attention to detail to achieve precision in all assembly work.
• A strong safety and quality-driven mindset, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
