We at Siemens DISW develop sophisticated software tools that span the full breadth of semiconductor and electrical systems solutions, including integrated circuit design and verification, PCB design and manufacturing solutions, cable harness tools, and embedded software. As an Associate Application Engineer m/f/d, you will be involved in a structured Associate Application Engineer Training Program. This is a fast-track paid training program that challenges you to develop the expertise needed to tackle difficult technical problems. Associate Application Engineers are members of a team of highly motivated individuals working with customers crafting the most sophisticated hardware and software systems in the world and whose applications span the electronics industry. This training program will give you outstanding insight into our technical marketing, product support, and sales organizations. Upon successful completion of this 12-month training program, you will be eligible to advance into one of these organizations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with semiconductor emphasis.
  • Good English level.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Must have some experience in these specific areas: UNIX, Linux, Sun Solaris.
  • Course work and project experience in VLSI design.
  • Some travel may be required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Any first experience in the area IC design, analog or digital: Simulation, Place and Route/ Full Custom, Functional and Physical verification, Design for Test.
  • Languages - Verilog (Behavioral, RTL, gate level), VHDL (Behavioral, RTL, gate level), TCL, Perl, C/C++.

The job location is in EMEA, preferably in Germany, France, or the UK. We have 2 openings in total.
