The next generation electronics products with modern PCB design faces unprecedented complexity, demanding robust verification and first-pass success. We are expanding our European PCB Team with an expert Application Engineer to drive customer success.

The objective for this role will be to lead pre-sales engagements, lead assessment and solution mapping whilst providing strategic product demonstrations and running custom workshops/deployment guidance.

You will transform customers' PCB design workflows through:

  • Taking ownership of customer requirements and processes analysis and provide solutions implementation
  • Driving projects with a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Actively using engineering expertise and knowledge in PCB design and manufacturing implementation to provide the appropriate solutions to customers
  • Good understanding of business requirements and ability to deliver solutions to meet business objectives

Desirable

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering with emphasis in electronics engineering, or work knowledge and experience.
  • Comfortable or willing to learn to present at all levels from technical to executive.
  • You have a background as electronics engineer for several years, working with both PCB design and manufacturing.
  • This has given you a good understanding of the overall PCB development process, and more specifically a very good design and manufacturing competence.
  • Relevant work experience with Electronic Contract Manufacturing (EMS)
  • General knowledge of pick and place, inspection, and test equipment
  • Some programming knowledge (Python, …) is a plus.
  • It’s an advantage, but not a requirement, to have Xpedition or Valor or any Enterprise EDA solution knowledge
  • It’s important that you like to take on new challenges and responsibilities to grow your competence into new areas as market constantly evolves.
  • Candidate is willing to really commit to make customers successful and win business for Siemens EDA.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation as well as interpersonal skills in English are required.
  • There’s an advantage to have experience from comparable jobs, but not a requirement.

Logistics

The candidate will report into the European PCB and System Solutions Technical Team. The role is pan-European and includes travelling from time to time, both European and International with multi-functional team collaboration. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of PCB design while working with innovative Siemens EDA technologies.
