Help shape the future of AI for the Design and Manufacturing industry as part of our Teamcenter Bill of Materials AI team. At Siemens Digital Industries, we carry out cutting-edge research on AI models for the Design and Manufacturing industry. We work in a fast-paced environment, coming up with innovative ideas, patenting them, and productizing them at pace. We're looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to play a leading role, bringing deep skills in cutting-edge AI to help us invent and deliver the next generation of intelligent capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cutting-edge research, including large language models, generative AI, and agentic architectures.
- Proven ability to design and build novel model architectures and iterate rapidly toward measurable outcomes.
- Solid experience with automated training pipelines, training orchestration, and scalable model evaluation.
- Practical experience applying reinforcement learning in real product or research settings.
- Excellent Python skills and strong software engineering fundamentals for building reliable, maintainable AI systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with model fine-tuning, RLHF, or building agentic tool-use systems.
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge graphs, or structured enterprise data.
- Experience deploying AI in Design, Manufacturing, PLM, or industrial domains.

Our Benefits & Rewards
The salary range for this position is £65,700 to £115,100 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
