Development of state-of-the-art AI models for Design and Manufacturing challenges within the Teamcenter Bill of Materials portfolio.

Design, prototype, and build novel model architectures that push the boundaries of what is possible for our products.

Architect and implement Generative AI agents that solve real-world enterprise engineering and manufacturing workflows.

Build robust, automated training pipelines that enable rapid experimentation, retraining, and continuous improvement at scale.

Define and run rigorous evaluation frameworks and benchmarks to ensure model quality, robustness, and reliability.

Turn innovative ideas into patents and shipped product features, partnering closely with engineering, product, and domain experts.

Mentor engineers and set high technical standards across research, experimentation, and productionization.

Position Overview

Help shape the future of AI for the Design and Manufacturing industry as part of our Teamcenter Bill of Materials AI team. At Siemens Digital Industries, we carry out cutting-edge research on AI models for the Design and Manufacturing industry. We work in a fast-paced environment, coming up with innovative ideas, patenting them, and productizing them at pace. We're looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to play a leading role, bringing deep skills in cutting-edge AI to help us invent and deliver the next generation of intelligent capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cutting-edge research, including large language models, generative AI, and agentic architectures.
  • Proven ability to design and build novel model architectures and iterate rapidly toward measurable outcomes.
  • Solid experience with automated training pipelines, training orchestration, and scalable model evaluation.
  • Practical experience applying reinforcement learning in real product or research settings.
  • Excellent Python skills and strong software engineering fundamentals for building reliable, maintainable AI systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with model fine-tuning, RLHF, or building agentic tool-use systems.
  • Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge graphs, or structured enterprise data.
  • Experience deploying AI in Design, Manufacturing, PLM, or industrial domains.
  • History of patents, publications, or shipped AI products.
