Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Position Overview
You’ll join our technical presales team as a PreSales Solution Consultant, supporting prospects and customers across the EMEA region throughout the software sales process. In this role, you’ll provide technical expertise in electrical systems design solutions, helping customers understand how Siemens Capital portfolio addresses their business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop deep expertise in electrical and wire harness design solutions, with a focus on the Siemens Capital portfolio and its application across customer scenarios.
- Develop knowledge of customer business challenges, industry processes, and the value of the Capital solution across markets such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications.
- Support customers during solution evaluation activities by assessing requirements, preparing demonstration environments, and showing how Capital addresses electrical systems design needs.
- Collaborate with sales teams to support sales pursuits by matching Siemens solutions to customer needs and contributing technical insight to the proposed approach.
- Build and present product demonstrations using standard and adapted material, answer customer capability questions, and provide technical presales mentorship throughout the sales process.
- Travel to customer sites (approximately 25–50% of your time) to support customer engagements and build positive relationships.
Qualifications
Required:
- A degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, building credibility and positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Confidence communicating with a range of interested parties, from project and department leaders through to senior and executive audiences.
- The ability to prepare and deliver clear, well-structured, value-based demonstrations.
Preferred:
- Presales experience, or a background in Electrical Engineering or Harness Engineering with strong communication skills and focus on customers.
- Experience with electrical design software such as Capital, VeSys, Saber ES Designer, Zuken E3.series, or Vector PREEvision.
- Experience with mechanical CAD tools, ideally Siemens NX, CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE, Solid Edge, or SolidWorks.
- Experience in sectors such as Aerospace and Defence, Automotive, or Transportation.

Our Benefits & Rewards
The total cash compensation range for this position is 69,700 to 139,400 with 30% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target (100% achievement). The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
