Siemens Healthineers MR Magnet Technology is the world's leading designer and manufacturer of superconducting magnets for magnetic resonance imaging - over a third of MRI scanners installed worldwide have at their heart a magnet manufactured in our Eynsham factory. The business has been awarded several Queen's Awards for export success, two Best Factory Awards and an IMechE Manufacturing Excellence Award and is justifiably proud of its engineering and manufacturing heritage.

As a result of internal movement we are now seeking an experienced manufacturing supervisor/manager to join our team in Eynsham as a Cell Leader, working on a weekly rotating shift pattern (early Mon-Thurs 06:00-14:30 with a 13:30 finish on the Friday, late Mon-Thurs 14:00 to 22:30, Fri 13:30 to 18:30).

In this role you'll lead a highly flexible manufacturing team to world class standards to maximise business performance, taking responsibility for day-to-day operational activities to ensure the business strategy and associated goals and targets at a local level are achieved, and responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the team's performance. You'll act as first point of contact for issues and seek resolution by using the skills and resources of the team to minimise the need for escalation.

Working with support functions, you'll lead a flexible workforce to implement production schedules, methods and processes, allocate manpower and resources, identify problems and provide solutions and improvements in your respective process. You will be a role model to the team promoting continuous improvement and lean methodology and adopting the Siemens Healthineers Business Principles.

This role will be ideally suited to someone with previous experience in a Shift Manager type role in a complex manufacturing environment, with more emphasis on hands-on, manual build process with longer build times and a focus on quality.
