As a Field Service Engineer Apprentice at Siemens Healthineers, you will be an integral part of our field-based engineering team of approximately 200 engineers across Great Britain & Ireland. Your responsibilities will include installing, repairing, and maintaining our cutting-edge medical systems. You'll provide essential technical service support to our customers, working at hospital sites across the UK, initially focusing on the M6 corridor region (Stoke, Crewe, Warrington and surrounds), all the while earning Level 3 and 4 accredited qualifications.
What to Expect:- Attend a local college to work towards achieving a Level 3 in Mechatronic Engineering, progressing to a Level 4 qualification over the 4-year period.
- If you have already achieved Level 3 qualification, you will be working towards a Level 4 Lead Engineer qualification.
- Visit customer sites across the M6 corridor region (Stoke, Crewe, Warrington and surrounds), as well as Siemens manufacturing sites and training centres in Germany and the US.
- Gain hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues on high-tech medical products.
- A four-year program designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the role.
- Work alongside industry experts in real-world settings, ensuring a practical understanding of our cutting-edge technology.
- Attain a Level 3 qualification & Level 4 HNC to enhance your professional standing.

To apply for this Field Service Engineer Apprentice role, you will need at least four GCSEs at grade 4 (or C) or above, including English Language and Maths. You will also need to meet the UK Government's Apprenticeship eligibility criteria:
- Have been a UK/EU/EAA resident for the past three years or more prior to starting the course
- Have left full time education when the apprenticeship you are applying for is due to start
- Be aged at least 16 years old to meet government funding criteria.

Compensation and Benefits:- Starting salary £15,000 - £19,950 (age dependent) with generous annual performance-based increases and opportunity to work with our generous overtime package.
- You will be provided with a van for business use for your apprenticeship and your fuel costs will be covered by the business.
- £500 fund for driving lessons, theory test, and practical test fees if you do not yet have a driving license.
- A full UK driving license is expected within the first 9 months of the apprenticeship.
