Alleyns is one of the UKs leading co-educational independent schools for children aged 4-18 located in Dulwich, South London. Alleyns is focussed on excellence in all that it does across both their teaching practices and operational support functions, further to this the school has a rich heritage having been founded by Jacobean actor and entrepreneur, Edward Alleyn, in 1619 and you will become part of that heritage by playing a pivotal role in transforming and maintaining a stunning, complex estate across 27+ buildings.

Your role wont be maintaining the status quo. Its about helping build the showcase facilities that will underpin the next chapter of the schools 400-year history.
Alleyns is in an exciting period of growth, having recently welcomed a new school into the group, with further growth on the horizon. At the same time, theyre investing heavily in the main Dulwich site, upgrading assets, future-proofing the estate and embedding sustainable technologies.
Youll be working with an ambitious yet grounded senior leadership team who are transforming the operational culture of the school. Theres no because weve always done it this way mindset here; they want fresh thinking, energy and innovation.
As the technical lead for all MEP services across the estate, youll work closely with the Director of Site Operations and the senior estates leads. Youll ask the right questions of contractors, hold people to account and shape how the school manages the lifecycle of its critical assets.
With no direct line management reports, this role will give you the time to deliver both strategically and operationally, fostering strong internal and external stakeholder partnerships.
Youll bring proven expertise in building services, backed up by a relevant diploma or degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or a construction-related discipline, or equivalent training and experience.
