We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Attendance Clerk to play a key role in the day-to-day management of student attendance, ensuring that registers are accurate and attendance information is recorded efficiently. Responsibilities include monitoring daily attendance, following up on student absences with parents and carers, maintaining attendance records, supporting the organisation of attendance interventions, and working closely with the wider Attendance, Safeguarding and Inclusion teams. The role requires strong communication, organisation and administration skills, alongside a compassionate and professional approach when working with students and families.

Working hours
One day per week (6 hours)
Day to be confirmed - 8:00am to 2:30pm term time plus 3 days

Job requirements

  • Good standard of general education, including English and Mathematics.
  • Knowledge of basic filing systems used on a computer.
  • Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with other staff of the school and other agencies such as the LEA.
  • Ability to organise events such as Careers Fairs, UCAS/Apprenticeship evenings, or transition weeks.
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and plan work in advance.
