Role Description The Medico-legal Clinical Analyst is a contract, remote role. This role involves reviewing and interpreting medical records, clinical notes, and other patient documentation to support medico-legal case preparation. The analyst will structure and summarise complex clinical data, identify key events and timelines, and ensure accuracy and clarity in case-related outputs. They will collaborate with internal teams, other clinicians, and legal professionals to refine data presentation and assist in the continuous improvement of the SideLight AI platform. Day-to-day tasks include conducting clinical research relevant to cases, validating data against medical standards, contributing to workflow optimization, and supporting project delivery within agreed timelines.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex clinical information, identify patterns, and construct clear case narratives.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to present findings clearly, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and explain clinical concepts to non-clinical stakeholders.
  • Candidates should possess solid Research skills to investigate clinical guidelines, evidence-based practices, and relevant medical literature supporting medico-legal work.
  • Candidates should possess a background in Medicine or a clinically related field, with the ability to understand diagnoses, treatments, and care pathways in detail.
  • Candidates should possess Project Management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple cases, and meet deadlines in a structured, reliable manner.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a medical degree, nursing degree, patient safety or other clinical training are highly beneficial; experience in medico-legal, clinical audit, or healthcare quality improvement is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail, high ethical standards, and familiarity with data protection and patient confidentiality requirements are important for success in this role.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and comfort working with structured data platforms are beneficial.
