Position Overview
Join Sidel as a Field Service Engineer (Field Service Technician) in Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom. Sidel is a leader in Food and Beverage Packaging, Manufacturing, System Engineering, High Tech, and high-speed Filling and Blowing machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and qualification of equipment until final customer acceptance.
- Ensure equipment complies with technical, contractual, and safety specifications.
- Operate mechanical systems and HMIs for routine tasks and troubleshooting, following SOPs.
- Perform necessary electrical work.
- Identify and resolve equipment non-conformities, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Prepare detailed progress and technical reports on performed work.
- Actively contribute to maintaining a high level of satisfaction for both internal and external customers.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Languages
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Proficiency in additional languages (such as Italian, Spanish, etc.) considered a plus.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field services, ideally within the beverage industry.
- Strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, B&R, ELAU) is an advantage.
- Experience with Sidel equipment, including blowing, filling, and labeling machines, is preferred.
- Must be willing to travel up to 90% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
