About The Role

Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 3-shift rotation- 06.00-14.00/ 14.00-22.00/ 22.00-06.00 (Monday–Friday).
Closing date: 23rd March 2026

When you start your journey with us as a Machine Operator, your career begins with a comprehensive training program, designed to help you confidently operate an automated mesh welding machine. This role is well suited to a practical, hands-on individual with experience in machine operation—someone who takes pride in working with mechanical systems and isn’t afraid to get involved in a physically active, fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Operating fully automated high-speed resistance welding machinery.
  • Undertaking machine setting adjustments to ensure optimum efficiency, achieving targets and deadlines.
  • Carrying out complex machine set-up, according to detailed machine drawings.
  • Working with your wider team to solve problems and improve ways of working.
  • Manufacturing and quality checking, to ensure all products meet tolerance specifications.
  • Ensuring housekeeping standards are always maintained.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Practical experience in a production or mechanical environment, with responsibility for setting and operating machinery
  • A strong commitment to safety and product quality
  • Experience using hand tools (e.g., Allen keys, hammers, screwdrivers).
  • Computer literate at basic level
  • Able to work all three shifts rotating early, late, and night shifts.

If you also have the following, that’s great, but we can train you in these areas if not:

  • Basic understanding of drawings and measurements.
  • Forklift truck (FLT) license.
  • GCSE in Maths and English grade C or above or equivalent
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or production, even better if you have experience of welding automation or mesh making in another sector.
