To strengthen our global Technical Assistance team, we are looking for a Technical Adviser to provide high-level technical support and expertise to a key strategic customer in the United Kingdom. Reporting to the Technical Customer Support Director, you will be based at our customer's site, located approximately 45 minutes from London by public transport, in the county of Hampshire. In this role, you will act as a trusted technical partner and ensure the successful implementation and optimization of SICPA's solutions. Through your expertise and customer-centric approach, you will contribute directly to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and long-term partnership success.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support and advisory services to the customer, including:
- Supporting and advising the customer in the design and development of security ink formulations.
- Providing expertise on the integration of ink formulations throughout the design lifecycle, from digital proofs and printing proofs to industrial-scale production formulations.
- Acting as the primary technical point of contact on-site, responding to technical inquiries and coordinating with SICPA subject-matter experts when required.
- Identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical challenges while strengthening the customer’s technical knowledge and capabilities.
- Ensuring the optimal use and performance of SICPA products and solutions, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Contributing to high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive support and close collaboration with both customer and SICPA stakeholders.
- Preparing technical visit reports, activity reports, and follow-up actions, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Managing technical product complaints and non-conformities, ensuring efficient resolution, proper documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Supporting technical validation activities and customer projects, in collaboration with SICPA's technical teams when required.
Profile
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Printing Technology, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in the chemical, ink, coatings, packaging, security printing, or printing industries; experience in customer-facing technical support is considered a strong asset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and international environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a hands-on and pragmatic mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong customer orientation, integrity, and commitment to service excellence.
- Flexible and willing to travel occasionally to SICPA or customer's locations as required.
- Fluent in English.
- Driving license.
