Job Description
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Intelligence Analyst to join us in an embedded role for a pharmaceutical client. You will be based in the client’s Risk Intelligence and Supply Chain Security team. In this role, you will assist the client in detecting, analysing, and advising on adverse conditions globally that could affect the safety, security, and operational continuity of the client. These conditions include but are not limited to: political instability and unrest, crime, terrorism, governance, supply chain disruption and cyber threats. You will be responsible for leveraging advanced analytical and investigative techniques to create insightful analysis in accordance with strict deadlines, including presenting and incorporating relevant data and visualisations. You will also engage directly with client stakeholders across multiple functions to interpret and refine intelligence needs, and provide consulting support. This is a hybrid role working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with at least three days a week based at the client’s London office. There may be occasional need to work out-of-hours during emergencies and time‑sensitive matters.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Plan, research, and draft a range of analytical reports delivering actionable insight to internal clients, including periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, etc.) and bespoke briefs
- Leverage both internal and external data to enrich the quality of reports and facilitate decision-making
- Deliver on-call intelligence assessments and snap briefings tailored to client requirements
- Assist the client security team with site threat assessments, security audits and investigations, working closely with in-house overseers
- Refine intelligence requirements by networking and supporting the growth of the intelligence function within the client company
- Display creative thinking and consulting skills to deliver a continually improving service for the client, supporting the global business at up to board level
- Display innovation of intelligence, implementing the latest techniques, tactics, and best practices
- Be an effective member of a small team, focused on the delivery of lean, high-impact services
- As the main point of contact between Sibylline and client operations, assist the firm with routine account management (identifying roadblocks, issues, and facilitating communications)
- Supported by a brochure and communications strategy, identify areas for wider engagement, cross-functional relationships, and business development within the client team (e.g. crisis management and business continuity, risk, compliance and legal)
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- A solid understanding of global geopolitical affairs and their potential bearing on pharmaceutical/health sector operations, including supply chain security, travel security, and emergency response
- Ability to interpret, manage and present data in support of a corporate security function
- Ability to write high-quality executive briefs, detailed reports, and other documents, including presentation material to support decision-making
- Ability to understand and interpret developments at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels, providing crucial and timely implications for relevant situations
- Ability to work with accuracy, composure, and maturity under pressure
- High-level competency with MS Office tools and data analytics
- Strong personal initiative, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions under minimal guidance
- A strong private sector industry network, with membership and thought leadership across key global, regional, and local intelligence sharing groups
- International work experience
- Experience or knowledge of supply chains, illicit trade, and counterfeiting issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Security Studies, Journalism, or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience, including in the public sector (military/government), international organisations, and/or private sector intelligence
- Preferred foreign language proficiency
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
