About the Role

We are looking for an Intelligence Analyst to join us in an embedded role for our global transport and logistics client. You will be based in the client's Threat Intelligence function, contributing to daily open source monitoring, geopolitical strategic intelligence assessments, and crisis response.

As an Embedded Intelligence Analyst, you will deliver tailored strategic intelligence assessments, including threat analysis, horizon scanning, and stakeholder briefings, while also providing guidance on event security. You will support with monitoring, analysing and advising the client on adverse developments globally that could affect the operational continuity and reputation of the business. Such developments include but are not limited to supply chain disruption, regulatory and policy changes, and geopolitical and security risks. You will also support with crisis response, providing live monitoring, rapid assessments and scenario planning.

This is a fully remote role, working core hours Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours work for emergencies and time-sensitive matters. The role requires occasional travel, primarily to Copenhagen every three months.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor online sources to gather and analyse information that could impact the client's people, assets, operations and reputation globally.
  • Maintain an indicators log for high-profile events and evolving threats to support decision-making on escalation and mobilisation.
  • Utilise all available resources - including open sources and vendor feeds - to create tailored, high-impact, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Deliver regular and bespoke intelligence products to forecast tactical and strategic risks in key locations.
  • Support crisis management teams during ongoing incidents, including through live monitoring, assessment updates and after-action reviews.
  • Support event and personnel security by delivering threat assessments for large and/or high-profile events.
  • Provide situational updates to senior stakeholders during incidents/crises.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the client's business operations and interests to better understand its requirements, concerns and needs.
  • Implement the latest techniques, tools and best practices to support innovation in a threat intelligence function.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks requested by the client.

Requirements

  • Experience, knowledge and interest in current affairs, international relations and emerging security threats, with expertise in intelligence analysis, geopolitical analysis and/or security risk analysis.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a corporate security setting or similar public or private sector environments.
  • Experience conducting OSINT monitoring and analysis.
  • Ability to research and sift through large amounts of information to produce concise, objective and actionable analysis and insights in accordance with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple scheduled tasks, requests and sources of information in an organised way and under minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent English written and spoken communication skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to present on complex topics coherently and in a straightforward manner.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Deep interest and broad understanding of world affairs.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate qualifications in International Security, Intelligence, Risk, Geopolitics or other related disciplines, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in the supply chain and logistics industry, and/or activism and event/site security.
  • Experience supporting crisis management.
