We are looking for a Threat Intelligence Analyst to join us in an embedded role for our global technology client. You will be based in the client's Global Intelligence and Threat Monitoring Team, contributing to due diligence, OSINT monitoring, and geopolitical strategic intelligence assessments. As a Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering proactive, in-depth analysis of open-source intelligence to identify and assess potential threats and risks impacting the client's global operations. This role will optimise research and monitoring tools, leverage AI-driven technologies, and ensure timely alerts and notifications that support crisis communications and decision-making.
You will coordinate intelligence and due diligence assessments, brief executives on key developments, and provide situational updates during incidents and crises. You will also collaborate with global stakeholders to prioritise requirements and strengthen risk monitoring capabilities. The position involves building relationships with the private sector, government, and academic partners to enhance threat awareness and response strategies in non-U.S. markets. This is an on-site role, working 5 days a week in our client's London office. The working hours are 9 am - 5 pm with rotational weekend coverage. When working weekends, you will get days back in lieu.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities- Provide proactive, in-depth analysis of open-source intelligence to identify and assess potential threats and risks.
- Optimise the client's research, monitoring and crisis communications tools to send alerts and notifications, including leveraging AI and other innovative technologies.
- Coordinate and fulfil timely and relevant delivery of intelligence and due diligence assessments that influence decision-making on security posture, policy and public relations.
- Brief executives as needed on key developments, trends and content.
- Provide situational updates to senior management teams during incidents/crises.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to collect and prioritise internal requirements.
- Develop and manage internal and external relationships to support risk monitoring and response, by working closely with the private sector, governmental, academia counterparts and networks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Deep interest and expertise in geopolitical issues, including knowledge of global politics, security threats, criminal trends and reputational risk.
- Deep understanding of global systems, conflicts, and pressing international security and macroeconomic issues.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret geopolitical developments and determine their impact on businesses' staff, assets, operations and reputation.
- Advanced open-source research and social media monitoring skills.
- Ability to rapidly digest, evaluate and 'sift' large quantities of information.
- Analytical, with the ability to provide rigorous, creative insight into complex situations.
- Ability to produce high-quality, finished intelligence products within short deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eager to learn, with an inquisitive mind and passion for creative problem-solving.
- Proactive in setting expectations, outlining project goals and managing time to meet these.
- Experience and strong interest in leveraging technological tools to optimise workflows.
- Bachelor's degree (advanced degree, master's or above preferred) from an accredited university in security studies, international relations, business management, organised crime, terrorism, risk management, or related field.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in strategic intelligence-focused roles in the private sector, government, military, NGOs or non-profit research organisations.
- Preferred additional language skills.
- Preferred professional network through OSAC, ASIS, AIRIP, or similar industry bodies; and cross-functional experience within a global security team (e.g. threat monitoring, travel security, business continuity and crisis management).
